Who we are

Hawes Financial Group (“HFG”) publishes educational personal-finance content and lightweight products. HFG is not a registered investment adviser (RIA), broker-dealer, or lender. Nothing on this site is personalized investment, tax, or financial advice.

What this site is

This marketing site is a static website. Pages are HTML, CSS, and a small amount of client-side JavaScript for interactive educational tools. We do not operate user accounts on this site.

Cookies and analytics

This static site does not set its own tracking cookies or run a first-party analytics suite. Your browser may still send standard technical requests (IP address, user agent) to the host that serves these files. Third-party destinations you choose to visit—such as Buttondown (newsletter), Gumroad (product purchase), or X—have their own privacy practices.

Newsletter and purchases

Newsletter signup is handled by Buttondown. Product checkout for the Monthly Money Planner is handled by Gumroad. Those providers process the data needed to deliver the service you request. Review their policies when you subscribe or buy.

Browser storage on tools

Some interactive tools can save a snapshot in your browser using localStorage (keys under hfg-tools-v1). That data stays on your device until you clear it in the tool or clear site data in your browser. We do not receive those snapshots automatically.

Theme preference (light/dark) may also be stored locally as hfg-theme.

Email a result

If you choose Email & subscribe on a tool, you must check an explicit consent box first. That action sends your email (and an optional plain-text result summary as metadata) to Buttondown to subscribe you to the HFG newsletter. It is not a free PDF download.
